On February 10, 2015, Years 5 and 6 hosted Ms Meg Hillier, MP for Hackney South and Shoreditch, where she spent a morning session with the children. Ms Hiller explained how her journey into politics stemmed from her motivation to help others, and provided a very moving illustration of a story of her and her family's experience of supporting a girl named Tina, who lived in an orphanage. She further explained how everyone, irrespective of age, creed or colour can work together, for the benefit of all. She answered children's questions and Ms Hillier encouraged them to be "agents for change." And, at the end of the session, she left them with this challenge: "... to do you best at all times, and to never give up."
