School Council

Our School Council is made up of pupils from our Nursery Class through to Year 6. Members represent the views of all their peers and they meet periodically to discuss issues that affect them as pupils of St. Monica's with the Senior Leadership team.

This gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community; as well as improve their communication skills, teamwork and prepare them for life in the real world. It also enables them to have a direct input into the running of the school.

Each class elects their representative on the Council, and this gives the children an early introduction to democracy and the rule of law.

Congratulations to the School Council 2016-17 who have been duly elected by their peers to represent the views of pupils on key matters. We will share news from the School Council meetings throughout the year.
