This term, our School Councillors turned their focus onto school dinners; reviewing peer feedback following the revised menu along with food tasting. They then created one week's menu, packed with the foods they love eating. This was, as usual, checked by our external Consultant for compliance and quality and has been adopted as the Week 5 menu.
The revised menu up to the end of the 2017/18 autumn term is attached and the weeks when each of the menu will be in force have been listed at the top for ease of reference.
If you have any questions, please speak to Chef Melfred or the Business Manager.
The national School Food Standards are in place to ensure that food provided to pupils is nutritious and of high quality; to promote good nutritional health in all pupils; protect those who are nutritionally vulnerable and promote good eating behaviour. Providing good quality school food improves children’s health, behaviour and performance.
The Food Standards Agency recently issued guidelines on Allergens (common foods which cause allergic reactions) and guidance can be found on http://allergytraining.food.gov.uk/english/food-allergy-facts.aspx
Please speak to Chef Melfred if you think your child could be affected or if you simply want reassurance. As a school, we will continue to ensure the all-round safety of all our children, staff and other partners.
