Welcome to Toddler Class!
Welcome to the St Monica’s Catholic Primary School Two-Year-Old Provision
St Monica’s Two-Year-Old Provision is a stimulating and safe place in which children engage in high-quality play-based learning. The experienced and well-qualified classroom staff endeavour to promote independence, self-confidence and a love of learning for all children in the setting.
We strive to provide excellent educational provision in our purpose-built indoor and outdoor classroom spaces. Through creating a secure and nurturing learning environment, we believe children will have fun whilst becoming more independent learners who enjoy exploring the world around them, problem solving and engaging in new experiences. These characteristics of effective learning will enable children to successfully transition into primary school and establish the foundations for life-long learning.
We believe that children learn best when the classroom and wider school community work in partnership with parents. Alongside carefully planned activities in accordance with the EYFS Framework, we prioritise engaging in memorable learning experiences, such as local walks to interact with the local community and environment.
In addition to our on-going observation and assessment of children’s development, we work with our link Health Visitor to ensure that all children undergo the 27-month development check.
