Assembly with The Passage Homelessness Charity

Here is our weekly Gospel assembly for your reflection.
This week we also had an external speaker, Andrew Hollingworth from The Passage who talked to our children about homelessness. The Passage is a faith charity that helps people get off the streets and aims to transform their lives by helping them integrate back into society.

Harvest Festival October 1st 2021

Our children celebrated Harvest Festival on Friday by giving thanks to Our Lord through charity donations & compassion for our fellow brethren. Thank you to all parents as our hall stage is full of food and other useful items.

Harvest-Climate Change Assembly by Cafod 27th Sept 2021

Delighted to have Edwina from Cafod talk to our children about it now being Harvest and its impact on climate change. Along with this she told a personal story titled ‘Peaches’, using various props.
Ms Edwina reminded us all of the importance of sharing, giving being grateful and thankful.

Whole School Mass - St Monica's Church Sept 2021

Year 6 Graduation Mass July 2021

Feast of St Peters & St Pauls

Our children participated in the reading for this mass. Amanda handed Father Gabriel a gift as a small token gesture from us in recognition of his 10th year of priesthood. God bless him and us all. Amen.

Crowning of Our Lady

Each year we crown a statue of Our Lady. Our Year Peace and Justice children lead a live Zoom virtual procession around school to the statue of Our Lady on the field. Children from all classes were invited to bring in posies of flowers to put at the feet of the statue of Our Lady.

Water of life: Assembly for primary schools

In this assembly, find out how even though we are all apart, we are still connected. We’ll travel to a place called Afar in Ethiopia, one of the hottest regions on earth, to meet people who make long journeys to collect water because it is so scarce.
