Humanities Statement of Intent
To develop children’s experiences and understanding of Geography and History, inspiring and igniting their curiosity about the wider world.
Foundation subjects such as History, Geography, D&T, Art and Drama are taught termly. The topics are carefully chosen to allow children to learn key historical and geographical concepts which are combined with Art, Design and Drama. The children develop analytical skills and express what they have learnt in creative ways. The Topic work year plan is fully integrated with numeracy, literacy, science and computing year plans for effective learning.
