Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
At St Monica’s Primary School, we are proud to be a key provider of SEND support within the London Borough of Hackney. We are committed to inclusion and believe that every child should be supported to achieve their full potential.
Our school has a team of experienced specialists who work closely with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to ensure they make strong academic, social, and emotional progress. Support is carefully planned to meet individual needs and help children thrive both in and out of the classroom.
We also have a dedicated Learning Hub that provides additional support for pupils who may benefit from time outside the classroom. This includes targeted interventions, small-group work, and specialist activities designed to support a wide range of needs while building confidence and independence.
At St Monica’s, we place great importance on preparing children for the future. Our SEND provision supports pupils in developing key life skills and resilience, ensuring a smooth and successful transition into secondary school and beyond.
We work closely with families, other schools, and external professionals to provide consistent, high-quality support and to share best practice. Through strong partnerships and a nurturing environment, we help every child feel valued, supported, and ready to succeed.
